We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

This role supports the efforts of the Electric Market Policy (EMP) group with its representation of Dominion's business interests in the stakeholder and regulatory processes of Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). It provides an opportunity to learn about the PJM Interconnection and its wholesale electricity markets and will help Dominion determine the appropriate market design reforms needed to support the clean energy transition.

Additional duties include:

  • Assists the Electric Market Policy group in covering RTO stakeholder committees, subcommittees, task forces, forums, and communication of market policy and market rule changes to business units and senior leadership.

  • Assists with research and analysis of market policy and market rule changes to determine impact to the company.

  • Works on Electric Market Policy’s issue tracking process.

  • Works with Electric Market Policy staff in developing company position on market policy issues with the business units.

  • Provides data for the annual RTO membership certification requirements and supports business units needs related to their memberships.

  • Participates in company’s response to RTO-related FERC filings, NOPRs, and settlements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Electric Market Policy Analyst I

0-3 years of experience in the electric industry.

  • Effective analytical, computer, problem assessment and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective written, oral and presentation skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Share Point, preferred.

Electric Market Policy Analyst II

All of the above, 3-5 years of experience in the electric industry.

Electric Market Policy Analyst III

All of the above, 5+ years of experience in the electric industry.

  • Evaluates and recommend courses of action, in response to inquiries.

  • Leads project work and preparation of key data for boundary partners.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
