Job Summary:

The Data Analyst - Nutrition will be responsible for analysis and reporting required to support the company’s master data needs. The Data Analyst - Nutrition will conduct data analyses required to optimize vendor, customer, item, and other master data processes including those related to converting master data to other systems. The analyst will be responsible for gathering and validating all necessary data. As such, the analyst will need to foster relationships throughout the organization to gather data and an understanding of what the data means to the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute reports analyzing current state and future opportunities related to nutritional master data.

• Utilize internal and external data sources to gain a better understanding of nutritional master data needs.

• Develop and maintain reporting necessary to respond to business needs for centralized reporting.

• Engage with manufacturers of Performance Food Group branded products to ensure nutritional and dietary claims are complete and accurate.

• Collaborate with various Performance Food Group departments ensuring PFG’s nutritional master data is consistent, accurate and reliable.

• Remain current on changing government nutritional regulations including labeling and declaration requirements.

• Develop ideas and tools to improve usability of company’s internal data sources.

• Develop ideas leading to continual improvement.

• Lead analysis for visibility in master data discrepancies.

• Identify opportunities to further leverage 3rd party, customer, and/or supplier analytics.

• Perform all other ad-hoc reports required to support the company’s needs.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Will consider qualified candidates in close proximity to Richmond, VA, Denver, CO, or La Crosse, WI. Available to report into one of the local offices, if needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

• 2 – 4 Years’ Experience

• Food or beverage manufacturing nutritional analysis and claim authentication

• Analytics expert with strong conceptual problem-solving skills

• Ability to pull disparate pieces of data together to form a coherent story

• Strong quantitative problem solver who can structure complex issues and interpret large data sets comfortably.

• Analytical thinker who can draw sound business conclusions from multiple sources of information

• Self-driven individual who is able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities

• An individual with intellectual curiosity who pushes to understand underlying issues

• Collaborative team player who can work across functions

• Proficient in Power BI and Excel

• Ability to work East Coast hours
