We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is looking for a Communication Specialist or Senior Communications Specialist – Digital Brand to fill a core role on the Advertising and Marketing team. This role will be focused on communication and marketing campaigns in support of critical infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in shaping the brand's perception by crafting campaigns in support of core-business objectives. This strategist will thrive in a fast-paced integrated communications environment; must be an effective project manager that can execute on the brand strategy; and provide direction to creative teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.

This position will develop strategy and implement digital-marketing campaigns on owned and paid digital channels.

What you will be doing

In this role you will craft compelling owned and paid cross-channel marketing campaigns that deliver results and support our mission

  • Collaborate with integrated communication teams by contributing marketing strategy for cross-channel campaigns.

  • Build trust with both internal and external partners through consistent collaboration and project management; ensure campaigns follow best practices considering latest trends and are consistent with brand voice.

  • Manage agency relationships; track and optimize campaign budgets across all-channels.

  • Partner with internal and external creative teams to develop compelling, data-driven creative.

  • Stay current with digital marketing trends, identify and test innovative marketing tools and technologies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Communication Specialist – Brand: 3-6 years content marketing or advertising experience.

Senior Communications Specialist – Brand: 6-10 years content marketing or advertising experience.

What you need to be successful

As a storyteller, you translate complex ideas into actionable, engaging, and inspiring stories.

  • Experience in an integrated corporate communications or marketing organization or in an agency setting.

  • High emotional intelligence with a natural ability to build relationships and collaborate across different teams; experience successfully managing an agency relationship is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of social media channels and how each can be leveraged for various campaigns and goals effectively.

  • Fluent at executing paid campaign strategies and creating actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with knack for clever copywriting

  • Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task and thrive within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong attention to detail in producing deliverables while understanding big-picture objectives and strategy.

  • Proficiency with social media management platforms such as Sprinklr, Falcon or Khoros.

  • Google Data Studio, Google Analytics, Google AdWords certification a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education).

Disciplines Preferred: Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications.

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred disciplines listed above.
