Position Summary:

This role is responsible for directing inspection and testing activities to maintain product quality and collaborates with various departments within the organization. Also to review customer return material and get authorizations and dispositions for said materials. Maintain and report on nonconforming material, HOLD, and damaged items. Communicate and interact with internal customers/co-workers in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure internal questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct various tests and analyses on products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards i.e., Sensory, cheese melting, etc.

• Ensure all testing activities comply with food safety regulations and quality standards

• Determine quality of products returned by customers; work with Quality and Warehouse Managers determine disposition on returned product quality.

• Review and give weekly update for the HOLD Process with the Quality Manager to ensure we are not losing shelf life of the product

• Keep inventory counts current when examining Returned and Quality Products -- this will be done by working with Warehouse Manager

• Check quality of cheese products and ensure poor quality product is removed before a customer can purchase; proper rotation and quality of product on a daily basis.

• Perform Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly temperature testing in our cooler and warehouse

• Perform quality checks on products as deemed necessary Evaluate incoming product to ensure it meets Northland Cheese Expectations

• Evaluate outgoing product to ensure it meets customer requirements

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

6-12 months Procurement, warehouse and / or administrative experience in related area
