CVS Health Senior Director. Retail Insights in Rhode Island

As a CVS Health colleague, you'll be at the center of it all!Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Customer Insights & Advocacy, the Senior Director and the Head of Retail Insights will be responsible for driving insights to deliver outcomes across the CVS Retail organization including all Front Store, Pharmacy, shopper experience and store design, marketing performance measurement, loyalty and personalization (Extra Care), and omnichannel (ex. buy-on line pick up in store). You will have a team of four and will be the face of the Insights organization in meetings with the SVP of Retail Marketing and other key stakeholders (ex. SVP of Merchandising).The Head of Retail Insights:• Strategic thought partner for the CVS Pharmacy business as CVS undertakes a major transformation to a health and wellness community-location, with a strong digital presence. Commands a credible understanding of the profit dynamics of both front store and pharmacy, including a detailed knowledge of shopper behaviors. • Flexibly and dynamically represents the voice of the patient, the shopper and the front store colleague. Is credible in explaining research findings, and answers audience questions with credibility and authority. Suggests further research techniques on the spot. Able to pull different sources of insights into a business discussion vs. just “read out” a report.• Is a dynamic and inspiring leader who builds the trust and confidence of team members while continuously upgrading our talent.• Is comfortable in a highly matrixed organization. Collaborates with front store merchants, store operations, pharmacy operations, Digital and CA&I colleagues.• Has strong communications skills, both written and oral. Ability to convert a standard research report into a “CVS” report with business implications. Required Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience• 5+yrs demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable insights learning agenda• Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of primary and secondary market research techniques and methodologies. (to include newer methods such as online dashboards and text analytics.)• 3+ yrs. project management skills with ability to draft a project plan• 7+ yrs. management experience, to include hiring and onboarding new colleagues• 3+ yrs. experience with performance management including performance reviews• Ability to travel to Woonsocket R.I.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience• Strong understanding of the strategy and economics of the CVS Pharmacy business• Business knowledge must be strong enough to enable the leader to translate research insights into strategic imperatives. (Minute Clinic not included)• Working knowledge of modern CX programs• Strong data visualization skills• Ability to influence others in meetings, ability to clearly and credibly address audience questions even when they represent a pivot from the research report• Program management skills including scenario planning, budgeting, etc.• Dynamic leader who inspires teams• Master’s degree
