Job Description:

Engage with the product at every stage, from design, through testing and then into production and support. Uptime, response time and customer responsiveness are paramount.

This position is responsible for on call rotation to address production issues with immediate need during off hours. Create and run adhoc queries to accommodate data requests. Participate in managing SOX related applications and documentation surrounding compliance. Monitor, Maintaining and Securing Metro by Tmobile store access as well as individual access to critical systems applications to enable to secure customer data and prevent fraudulent activity. Maintain Cert Access Management and Dealer/User Access related to Fraud. Documentation

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

  • Primarily supports and supervises day-to-day issues and identifies high availability surrounding the user experience for Metro by T-Mobile retail frontline applications.

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise for systems. Assist in determining the impact of operational issues and provide input into their resolution. Communicate changes and potential risks

  • Authors and maintains documents that include architecture diagrams, data models, and navigation maps in area of expertise.

  • Reviews vendors’ current roadmaps, scalability -architectures and Operating Systems Compatibilities.

  • Partner with development teams for consultation and input on projects within areas of support.

  • Participates in Governance activities surrounding sox compliance and auditing.

  • Utilizes existing toolsets to work, track, and resolve issues within the primary functional area.

  • Cross-functionally supports the Frontline Experience team and wider application set within the T-Mobile ecosystem.

  • Manages production outages and escalations end-to-end, ensuring the correct stakeholders are involved to be able to drive resolution, and communicating to impacted business units.

  • Available for a weekly on call program to support production.

  • Assists management and other team members in ensuring production stability through understanding of business needs, changes being implemented and high-level technical flows.

Innovation and Leadership

  • Provide guidance, leadership, and expertise to team members.

  • Interacts effectively with company Senior management to effect solutions for enterprise business requirements.

  • Makes and implements complex decisions aimed at improving the quality, effectiveness or ability to achieve revenue, profitability and strategic goals for the organization

Technology and System

  • Gate Keeper of production changes. Works directly with development operations for successful implementations.

  • Leads issue resolution process to quickly manage and resolve complex issues and outages.

  • Contributes/collaborates and engages in developing road maps for target state architecture.

Operations

  • Supervises day-to-day support issues and identifies high availability and disaster recovery opportunities, leverages high availability concepts from reference architecture principles and provide configuration recommendations and implementation strategies.

  • Engages in operational requirements and standards for applications and conducts operational process and procedural evaluations, to drive consistency and efficiencies across all aspects of operations.

  • Prepares and maintains documents that include architecture diagrams, data models, and navigation maps in area of expertise.

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise for systems. Assist in determining the impact of operational issues and provide input into their resolution. Communicate changes and potential risks

Qualifications:

▪ 7+ years’ experience working in operations or Dev ops environments.

▪ 7 years’ experience in troubleshooting customer related issues and managing customer relationships required.

  • Solid understanding of testing, quality and change management methodologies.

  • Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.

  • Extensive knowledge one of the following UNIX/Linus, Oracle, SQL, and databases.

  • Thorough conceptual and hands on knowledge of Architecture, Database Design and cloud computing concepts.

  • Candidate should be aware of trends and advancements in web technologies.

  • Must be a key contributor and a subject matter expert, and must exhibit in-depth understanding of web and database technology.

  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
