About this role
The Application Specialist is a member of the Commercial Patient Services team that leads integrated services, projects, programs, technology asset management and architecture design. Primary customers include Patient Services, Nursing and Market Access & Reimbursement.
This role includes providing advanced training and super-user guidance of the Salesforce application particularly as it relates to its usage, as well as associated interfaces. They are the ultimate power user who knows the ins and outs of the app and are often charged with figuring out how to get a particular job done and they are always at the forefront in new functional implementation.
What you’ll do
Actively Driving: Actively drive Patient Services projects and ensure alignment on all project details: objectives, scope, approach, deliverables, financials, schedule, dependencies and risks.
Engaging Stakeholders: Proactively manage IT and functional stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and Steering Committees to ensure accountability and drive value.
Communicating: Clearly communicate project status, schedule, risks, issues, and changes/resolutions – keeping all stakeholders involved and informed on a regular basis.
Who you are
You are the Salesforce expert that knows the most about the application and workflows. You are a member of the IT team but are often the person found performing the most complex tasks in the application on behalf of the user community.
Required Skills
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in, preferably in the healthcare or biotech industry.
Experience leading a team of business analysts and stakeholder success leaders.
Strong understanding of business processes and functions, with an ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with an ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends, with an ability to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Excellent problem solving and analytical capabilities with ability to understand commercial business information, logically structure them into IT elements that build practical solutions, identify root causes of issues, conduct troubleshooting, and perform impact analysis.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
