Where the chemistry happens…

Our global IT and Data Solutions Delivery Team is searching for a Data Platform Lead to ensure successful implementation and support of enterprise-level IT solutions within the BASF Agriculture division. The Data Platform will be responsible for overseeing the entire product delivery lifecycle, requiring a blend of technical expertise and strong leadership skills.

As a Data Platform Lead, You Create Chemistry By...

• Oversee the Business Intelligence (BI) team, concentrating on reporting, visualization, and data analysis.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team.

• Manage the operational aspects of the data platform to ensure seamless data processes.

• Supervise the design of data architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Lead and oversee the work of data engineers, data modelers, and data architects.

If you...

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• 8 years of work experience within software development/implementation

• Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts. Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) is essential.

• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI. Experience in developing dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Knowledge of data engineering practices, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica, DataSphere, Azure Data Factory). Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools is beneficial.

• Experience with data analysis techniques and statistical methods.

• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring data teams. Strong project management skills to oversee data initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
