BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina Director, Strategic Value in Remote, North Carolina

Job Description

This role is responsible to lead strategic value opportunity creation spanning all enterprise-level domains of activity including Transformation, Mandates & Refreshes, and other major Divisional work.

The role entails leading a small, high-performing team—sitting within Enterprise Strategy and Performance Execution division—focused on business case valuation and partnership, competitive benchmarking and value identification, and project tooling and enhancement for the enterprise’s strategic portfolio. The leader will have an exceptional opportunity to drive impact at the enterprise level, engage with enterprise leaders on the day-to-day, and grow in executive-level skills including problem-solving and communication.

What You’ll Do :

  • Facilitate and coordinate strategic value efforts across the enterprise (Transformation, Mandates & Refreshes, Select Divisional work) to optimize relationships and ensure understanding of strategy, planning and sequencing components, and performance monitoring components and results

  • Oversee the strategic value tracking, communicating results to top management, and developing strategies based on organizational reviews

  • Collaborate with internal teams and other key partners to develop and manage the investment portfolio, including sizing and prioritizing of investments to enable effective execution of the strategic plan and delivering on stated goals

What You’ll Give :

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience with strategic planning, annual planning, and/or performance tracking.

  • If no degree, a minimum of 12 years of experience as listed above.

Bonus Points: (Preferred qualifications)

  • Five years of experience leading teams and/or directly managing staff in dynamic settings

  • Highly collaborative

  • Strong analytic problem-solving including data-driven analysis & communication

  • Strong conceptual problem-solving including quickly understanding crucial business case value drivers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Increasing levels of responsibility throughout career.

Salary Range

$131,900.00 - $250,600.00
