Lilly Canada is searching for a Learning and Performance Manager to build and lead the affiliate Learning Strategy. This mandate includes identifying new ways of building capabilities and creating learning experiences that continuously improves capture, retention and application of knowledge and new skills.

With a focus on sales, they will prepare our sales organization for unprecedented new product launches. Embracing new models and learning platforms, they will be the integrator that gathers needs, builds content, leverage global resources, and design interventions to upskill the sales force on new capabilities. This includes priority topics such as Lilly’s sales models, portfolio selling, data analysis, hybrid selling model, and other areas of Health Care Professional and patient focus.

The Learning and Performance Manager will manage a small team of learning consultants. In addition to their management responsibilities, they will have hands-on responsibility for training the sales organization and build specific therapeutic expertise.

In the process of creating selling capability strategy and content, the Learning and Performance Manager will manage internal and external stakeholders effectively at multiple levels and collaborate across the organization.

Skills/Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible in embracing technology and transformation to better connect with customers

  • Experience with segmentation models (lifetime value, adoption ladder, channel mix) and performance management (KPIs, activity tracking, sales impacts)

  • Experience with market research methodology (surveys, scorecards, concept of beliefs, value base selling)

  • Deep experience with CRM platforms

  • Knowledge of customer journey concepts and knowledge of Next Best Action (NBA), channel mix, reach, attainment

  • Familiar with Omnichannel strategies that rely on engaging with customers at the right time, with the content, through the most pertinent channels

  • Experience with training program performance management and reporting

  • Familiar with community building, agile concepts, coaching, leadership

  • Well versed in “knowledge management platform”

  • Experience in any one of the therapeutic areas.

  • Strong program and project management skills

  • Demonstrate effective collaborative skills

  • Ability to prioritize and support multiple priorities and integrate multi-functional elements into one learning plan

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member drawing on strengths of entire team by employing strong influence skills

  • Ability to simplify complex topics into a succinct strategy for long term retention and rapid organizational change

  • Bilingual (FR & EN) is an asset.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with background in Adult Education

  • 3- 5 years experience in Learning and Development

  • Advanced level of knowledge in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in Canada Eli Lilly Canada (ELC) is committed to employment equity.
