The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleThe person hired for the position of Supply Chain Planning Analyst will be responsible for managing the end to end supply chain, ensuring customer requirements and supply chain metrics are attained. This position involves partnering with various plant and division personnel and continuously working to improve the planning and scheduling process. This role will also be responsible for identifying and implementing ways to improve customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency to achieve measurable results
As a Supply Chain Planning Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in service, cost, and inventory.
Developing and maintaining operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand.
Providing a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making.
Managing scheduling for critical machines.
Actively partnering with plant/division BT team to implement changes related to ERP deployment
Publishing and presenting service and inventory metrics and results.
Identifying and leading projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment.
Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets.
Utilizing Supply Chain tools and processes to make data-driven decisions and utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Three (3) combined years experience working with Manufacturing Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service and/or SAP in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited University in Business Administration, Supply Chain management or Engineering
One (1) year experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing plant
APICS (The Association for Operations Management) certification or demonstrated progress toward completion
Experience leading Six Sigma Green Belt and/or other projects
Experience with SAP ERP Software
Excellent written & oral communication skills; good presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others and work effectively in a team environment
Organizational and time management skills
Strong data mining, analytical, and decision-making skills
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travelRelocation Assistance: May be authorized
