Trane Technologies Residential HVAC and Supply business offers a broad portfolio of energy efficient heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, air quality products, home automation and parts support. Trane Supply is transforming its North American parts business and we are looking for an accomplished data visualization pricing professional to join our team. If you are passionate about helping change tomorrows results by sharing game-changing insights into todays performance, we want to talk to you. Our team is rapidly evolving from descriptive to predictive analytics, and we are looking for an innovative leader with data visualization experience who is passionate about using Tableau that can continue to drive development and adoption of pricing analytics.


  • Lead development of world-class dashboards to enable sophisticated self-service analysis by sales leaders and product managers.

  • Use data visualizations to facilitate storytelling, and data exploration.

  • Understand business needs and strategy, gather requirements and translate into dashboard design.

  • Lead team and organizational thinking about new and better ways to display information.

  • Promote design-thinking in dashboard development.

  • Understand and develop data structures required to combine multiple data sets to allow for multi-faceted data exploration and performant dashboards.

  • Manage launch of data products through training material development, training sessions, and on-going support for business teams.

  • Data exploration to identify and understand new data sets that can enhance the value of dashboards and insights.

  • Partner within the team, IT and broader organization to develop and launch innovative data products.

  • Operate in an agile fashion to deliver regular “demos” to the customer


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in a hands-on data visualization role

  • Demonstrated success analyzing data to solve business problems and identify opportunities for improving performance

  • Expert knowledge of Tableau and Tableau Server. Certifications preferred. Be prepared to show your work in interviews.

  • Comfortable writing Level of Detail calculations and table calculations, expertise in applying filters and using parameters within Tableau.

  • Knowledge of Alteryx and Alteryx workflows to support data set development preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills –able to convey complex concepts to technical and business teams in a simple and understandable way.

  • Intense curiosity and a passion to learn about our business and how we can grow through data analytics and retail best practices

Key Competencies:

  • Leverage statistical and data visualization tools to analyze data, develop metrics and maintain descriptive statistics to support decision making (e.g. regression analysis, risk modeling)

  • Use data visualizations to facilitate storytelling, and data exploration.

  • Understand business needs and strategy, gather requirements and translate into dashboard design.

  • Gather, analyze and manage quantitative and qualitative data to convert data into information and clearly communicate findings

  • Understand how customers experience value, product substitutes, relative competitive positioning and market trends

  • Manage the price/volume trade off of current offerings by maintaining knowledge of how the value proposition changes over time, setting prices accordingly and issuing value communication to the channel.

  • Aggregate, manage and analyze transactional pricing data for insights into customer purchasing behaviors. Measure the effectiveness of the pricing processes and discount management across the business. Validate the effectiveness of comprehensive pricing strategies

  • Lead team and organizational thinking about new and better ways to display information.


This role has been designated as Remote within a Geography . While most work can be done remotely, there are geographical travel and time-zone considerations. Shared touch-down workspace available on-site. *The Company reserves the right to modify this designation should business needs require.
