Position SummaryThe Sr. Mgr., Clinical Pharmacy will lead the growing Pharmacy Team for CVS Accountable Care. This position will report directly to the VP, ACO Physician Executive in the clinical organization of CVS Accountable Care.The Senior Manager will oversee and manage the clinical pharmacy services team. This team, consisting of pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and non-clinical personnel is responsible for the delivery of clinical pharmacy services to providers and patients within the CVS Accountable Care book of business including CMS run Medicare ACO programs as well as Medicare Advantage populations.

The Senior Manager will manage the daily operations of the Pharmacy team including establishing and implementing key goals, objectives, and strategies to enhance the quality and impact of clinical pharmacy services. Identifies opportunities for improvement, monitors key performance indicators, and implements strategies to enhance patient safety, and medication use in alignment with clinical protocols. Collaborates with ACO leadership to align clinical pharmacy services with overall ACO clinical operations and business goals. Participates, as able, in medication use evaluations to assess the appropriateness, effectiveness, and safety of medication therapies. Collaborates with both internal and external partners on strategies to enhance performance in Medicare Advantage Stars programs, as well as fee-for-service Medicare programs and other value-based contracts. Develops and delivers educational programs, presentations, and training materials to enhance knowledge and promote evidence-based medication use across the organization.Provides leadership and guidance to a team of clinical pharmacists and other pharmacy professionals, including managing staff, recruitment, performance management, training, and professional development.Required QualificationsAdvanced understanding and knowledge of value-based care including Medicare Advantage and CMS Medicare programsAbility to work 5 days per week in changing environment

Minimum 7 years experience in clinical pharmacy practice, including successive leadership rolesAdvanced problem solving and decision making skillsStrong serial-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines; flexible and adaptable.Ability to lead across highly-matrixed internal and external teamsAdvanced communication skillsAdvanced execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skillsAbility to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option including team budgeting. Mastery knowledge of phases of care transitions and resources available for patientsMastery level digital literacy skills including EHRAbility to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly Education

BS in Pharmacy or PharmDRegistered/Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with ability to obtain additional state licenses as required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$99,420.75 - $261,723.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
