The IT Compliance role is responsible for managing compliance risks and coordinating support across technologies for compliance activities. In addition, the role ensures staff members are trained on enterprise and governmental Governance Risk & Compliance topics and activity through both support and awareness programs.


  • Coordinate with technology and business groups to assess, implement, and monitor technology related risks/hazards

  • Coordinate Audit activity partnering with Audit functions.

  • Monitor compliance with industry and government rules and regulations, acting as a second line of defense and in doing so supporting the first and second lines of defense (in line the standard three lines of defense risk and compliance model).

  • Ensure technology and technology process complies and meets all service level agreement requirements.

  • Create and maintain risk and compliance awareness programs.

  • Perform risk assessments (risk tolerance and risk exposure) and oversee implementation of risk investments across the organization as necessary

  • Consult on compliance processes utilized across the technology platform.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of business/organization wide compliance and risk standards, processes and procedures, and guidelines.

  • Supports monitoring of various information systems/sources for non-compliance. Reports findings to management team

  • Analyzes and reports compliance performance against established compliance metrics and provides recommendations for action plans

  • Assists in the evaluation of program resources and assists in the procurement of tools, internal resources and/or external resources, as applicable, to ensure proper execution of the compliance program

  • Assist in the identification of gaps in the design and operating effectiveness of controls, and identify opportunities for more efficient and effective controls

  • Assists with/audits of information systems/solutions. Participates in regulatory/client audits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent preferred

5 years relevant experience preferred in the Life Sciences industry (preferably a CRO) with deep experience in GxP systems.
