Reporting to the Director of Child Care, the Student Life Child Center Specialist provides both administrative and program support to the Director of the Center, which is a unit of the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and: The Student Life Child Center Specialist provides support for the Director including Administrative support when needed in the planning and implementation of the vision of the Director. Develops, organizes, and assists in the management of the day-to-day operations of the program. Works collaboratively to administer all functions relative to the grant funded initiatives. Administers functions related to budgets for curriculum, instruction, and staff development in conjunction with the Director of the Center. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Works with Director on personnel & RF invoices Supports the Child Care Center with communications and outreach efforts Works with Enrollment Manager and Curriculum Coordinator on Center Initiatives Is key to the Administrative team?s planning and organizational structure Responds to student parent and parent inquiries as appropriate. Work hours are 9-5 unless otherwise specified QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and four years' related experience required. Preferred Qualifications Master?s degree, experience in program assessment, business, budget and or grant writing preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills required. The position requires proficiency with MS office application programs and the ability to work independently as well as perform as a team member in a fast- paced environment. Candidate will be subject to State Central Clearance background check and Department of Health Fingerprint requirements. Develops appropriate learning programs, events and activities Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring center goals Assists in supervising and evaluating center staff Provides on-site presence for parent communications and problem resolution Maintains compliance with relevant regulations and health and safety guidelines May occasionally teach children in the Center Performs related duties as assigned.
