EOC Enrollment Specialist - Queens EOC at York College/CUNY POSITION DETAILS The Enrollment Specialist, a Higher Education Assistant, reports directly to the Director of Student Support Services with responsibilities that encompass the areas of enrollment management, recruitment, admissions, student data management and student records. The Enrollment Specialist serves in a management role with other designated EOC staff to provide input and, as required, research concerning retention, placement outcomes, employment trends and student demographics. Moreover, the successful candidate is responsible for the overall maintenance, security and integrity of the center?s student record keeping systems, the student information system, as well as the supervision of registration, recording of grades and verification of student records. Responsibilities and duties include: Maintaining a working, practical knowledge concerning Queens EOC programs, policies and all procedural admissions requirements per EOC Guidelines. Effectively provide oversight and management of secured student records within the student data management system. These include EOC eligibility, enrollment, program completion/graduation and program outcomes i.e. employment, college admission, program continuation, employment and college applications. Analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative student enrollment data to prepare timely management reports. Providing verification of current student status, student records and transcripts for requesting agencies. Assist in the coordination of and participate in recruitment and student admissions activities including open houses, program orientations, program advisement, information sessions and off-site presentations to partners and community-based organizations. Supporting processes and procedures that record student grades, withdrawals, reinstatement, readmission and timely EOC term transitions. Completing regular enrollment reports for submission to the Director of Student Support Services for administrator?s review and planning efforts. Conducting market research in areas that are identifiable as possible program options. Assisting the design of recruitment materials through participation on the Social Media and Communications Committee. Working directly with program applicants, as necessary to achieve admissions requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor?s degree in Education, Business or an appropriate related field. Preferred: Master's degree Experience: At least four (4) years of relevant experience within an educational institution or progressive organization. Must possess excellent computer competencies including, but not limited, to social media, spreadsheets and database programs. Excellent communication, organizational and analytic skills are required. Collaborates with management team in the development of admission and enrollment goals, strategies, and initiatives; participates in planning enrollment events. Analyzes and interprets quantitative and qualitative student enrollment data to prepare reports for management. Recommends and implements improvements to existing technical systems and office operations. Serves as resource reference to interpret and comply with University and College enrollment policies. Prepares and reviews student communication materials. May coordinate aspects of student entry from point of allocation to include orientation, advisement, and collection of admitted student documents. May supervise office operations and/or department budget Performs related duties as assigned.
