Enrollment Coordinator (aHEO) ? Multiple positions POSITION DETAILS Under the supervision of the Associate Director of the Office of Financial Aid Services, the position of Enrollment Coordinator will support the department's day-to-day activities to ensure high-quality student-centered services for the many constituents served by the Office of Financial Aid Services: students and their families, faculty, staff, and alumni. The Enrollment Coordinator will serve as a contributor to the College's knowledge base concerning student needs. In support of the campus mission, strategic plans and goals, Queens College seeks to fill five (5) Enrollment Coordinator positions. The Enrollment Coordinators will maintain communication with students and all other third-party constituents and serve as a point person for all general inquiries pertaining to Excelsior/PTAP, Federal Work-Study, Accelerate, Complete, and Engage (ACE) or Return to Title IV (R2T4) programs. Along with the CUNY Title Overview, the key responsibilities for the title include, but are not limited to: Verifies eligibility for Federal and State financial aid programs including grants, scholarships, and guaranteed student loans. Performs application intake, evaluation, processing, and awarding. Provides students information on good academic standing requirements and the appeal, reviews appeal for dependency overrides and budget adjustments processes. Provides information to parents and students regarding eligibility for Federal and State aid and assists in all aspects of the financial aid process. Assists with calculations, grant recalculations and ineligible disbursements to resolve the over awards and over payments. Monitors changes in enrollment for aid recipients and troubleshoots as needed. Analyzes and resolves issues regarding packaging and awarding. Reconciles students? financial aid payment issues. Reviews and maintains the Unusual Enrollment History (UEH) comment codes in CUNYfirst. Conducts financial aid workshops and represents the Financial Aid Office on various on and off campus events. Provides direct student services and works collaboratively with other units to support registration, payment, and related activities. Maintains communication with students through various media channels to build and foster relationship. Assists with projects and events as requested. May require evening and weekend assignments QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred Qualifications One-year financial aid experience in higher education, demonstrating the ability to meet customer needs. Working knowledge and understanding of federal and state aid rules and regulations. Detail oriented individual, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously with multiple priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle (CUNYfirst) information systems in a higher education or government environment. Knowledge and experience working with college resources, departments, and student support offices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. Ability to maintain detailed and consistent records on an ongoing basis. Proficient with latest software, including Oracle/People Soft, and Microsoft Office. Provides direct student services and works collaboratively with other units to support registration, payment, and related activities Conducts workshops on enrollment management services and processes Counsels students, staff and faculty on academic registration, admissions, testing, and related processing Manages student information databases and resolves issues with student records and transactions Ensures compliance with college, Federal, and New York State regulations and policies Creates and updates content for web pages, bulletins, and other media to ensure effective communications to students and campus community May supervise clerical and/or part-time staff and coordinate work schedules Performs related duties as assigned.
