Responsibilities:
Lead the Electrical and Electronics category /commodity segment under India region both from Category and Supplier quality side for the region.
Consistently and effectively look for capable source to meet the IR expectation in terms of QCDS and develop sustain supply chain.
Demonstrate procurement work performance through criteria related to quality, availability, and cost of materials necessary to meet business requirements;
Commodity Market intelligence, Supplier assessment, qualification through procurement process for E & E segment of categories
Negotiation, and support of vendor contracts, service level agreements, and performance measurement programs related to materials/assembly acquisition;
Develop business relationships with suppliers that enable long term optimized support of company requirements to reduce cost and improve service;
Identify and drive proactive cost reduction opportunities & Deliver them successfully
Provide direct input and utilization of respective data in ERP system, to drive the appropriate system knowledge, procurement work performance results, and meet planning demands of the business;
Continuously seek opportunities to improve methodologies and their application to assigned business processes while maintaining the long-term sustainability of these processes. OSA/ SPA / LTA etc
Provide detailed data, information, and reports related to plans / results of procurement activities
Work with Accounts Payable and Receiving to resolve any invoicing and receiving issues
Good E& E process knowledge - Testing Knowledge – Wiring harness, motor supplier audit , structure analysis,
Experience is handling Motor, drives and panels, sensor etc
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 7+ years of experience in SDE and CM in E& E Motor, drives and panels, sensor etc
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and working experience of Motor, drives and panels, sensor etc
Extensive global sourcing experience & strong negotiation skills
Extensive experience in Supplier development role & Contracting, pricing, supply chain/sourcing strategies
Must possess demonstrated work experience to work with outsourced manufacturing suppliers and procurement teams to drive problem resolution, VMI / SOMI implementation, quality processes, and effective source cost analysis
Review long lead time and unique components to ensure product availability
Demonstrated success in supplier management, cost reduction & inventory management
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with associated procurement based technical knowledge
Strong personal computer application usage skills are required (Desktop office and ERP systems applications)
Must be able to work in an environment of short notice changes, and tolerate interruptions
Direct experience with Oracle/ SAP ERP Business Systems and related procurement transactions desired
CPIM, and/or other certifications a plus
Location: Ahmedabad_ Naroda / Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad –
Percentage of Travel: 40%
