We are seeking a Resident Assistant to help support the residents' needs by assisting with limited personal care and providing companionship, food service, snack preparation, and activity support.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting residents in social activities with their personal interests. Help create opportunities for social interactions, personal routines and exercise within the resident community.

  • Serve food in a clean, cheerful environment to help build connects and sense of community.

  • Develop household customs and rituals by facilitating household-related activities.

This position is designated as part-time and primarily evening shift. The work schedule will include at least 32 hours per 2-week pay period and may include additional work hours, based on business needs. This position is not eligible for insurance benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to serve food in accordance with all pertinent safety and health regulations, guidelines, and standards; create a warm, welcoming atmosphere; and engage with residents in group and one-on-one activities.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the aging process and related conditions.

  • Understanding of liberalized, therapeutic diets and special food requirements.

Additional Requirements

  • A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for the position(s). When conducted, a finalist must pass the DHS background check.

  • A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.

  • Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists. This may include a review of documentation related to job performance and contact with the applicant's former employer(s)
