Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving the Aftermarket Services Sales activity throughout the UK to include quoting and strategizing both for aftermarket projects and for long-term service agreements. The role requires customer relationship management in order to achieve services revenue targets, maximize profits, increase market share, increase customer connectivity and maintain customer loyalty on assigned customer account management activity that leads to successful agreement renewal.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Services Agreement, Ad Hoc Service & Parts Revenue by developing lasting service relationships with new and existing customers, including both Ingersoll Rand and competitive accounts

  • Creatively provide solutions to customer needs by aligning Services offering with customer and business needs

  • Provide selling expertise on Services products for sales team in developing pricing strategy and sales strategy for service-related programs

  • Manage Cash - Ensure that all orders obtained are error-free and ensure contract language is aligned with and in compliance with business unit guidance as it relates to Terms and Conditions

  • Ensure resolution of all customer disputes

  • Manage agreement pricing by fully utilizing costing tools and resources provided and in consultation with CRM system for equipment history

  • Earn Customer loyalty by troubleshooting to resolve customer satisfaction and service issues

  • Work effectively with the Service team on active contracts and in prospecting for early renewals and provide assistance as needed with service contract communications by resolving open issues

  • Maintain quote log with face-to-face customer interactions in order management system, record key contract milestones and reporting requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required, Siebel & Oracle knowledge advantageous

  • Good interpersonal skills and comfortable multi-tasking across activities, people, systems and processes

  • 3-5 years of experience in a face-to-face capital equipment or agreement/contract sales role

  • Self-motivated, yet a proven team player

  • Comfortable multi-tasking across activities, people, systems and processes

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

  • Based from home with 50-75% travel to UK customer sites and IR facilities as required

Key Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential to navigate between the operations and senior level decision makers; discerning between the user and the buyer of the services

  • Teamwork in collaboration with other members of sales and services team; desire to win as an individual and as a team

  • Commercial acumen and customer relationship building skills are critical

  • Services agreement sales experience, ideally in industrial products and services is preferred
