Position Summary and Responsibilities Vassar College is excited to invite applications for the position of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Coordinator. We are seeking an experienced and proactive administrative professional to provide committee support, coordination, and to ensure all animal care and use activities conform to institutional and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: Coordination of IACUC Functions Schedule and coordinate logistical considerations for meetings, inspections, program reviews and trainings. Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, decisions, inspection findings, and related materials. Facilitate and assign designated and full committee reviews of animal care and use protocols and proposals. Pre-review submissions to the IACUC for completeness. IACUC Organization and Management Manage and maintain official and electronic records and files. Develop and implement a schedule for protocol and Standard Operating Procedure review. Assist with the development and submission of the semi-annual program report to the Institutional Official. IACUC Liaison and Communications Serve as a liaison and representative of the IACUC: respond to inquiries, communicate committee updates and findings to principal investigators Assist with organization and implementation of the post-approval monitoring program. Qualifications Required Associates degree Three to five years of related experience Understanding of administrative support processes Ability to interpret policies and guidelines and independently resolve problems Excellent proactivity, planning, follow-through and organization skills Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Proficiency in taking and transcribing notes and minutes and/or formal proceedings Experience developing and maintaining computerized databases Preferred Bachelor's degree Special Instructions to Applicants To complete your on-line application, you will be required to attach your resume, cover letter, and contact information for 3 professional references.
