Position Introduction The Department of French and Francophone Studies at Vassar College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor or Adjunct Assistant Professor for a one-semester position in Fall 2024. Position Description We are in search of a dedicated educator to contribute to our program by teaching three distinct courses: 'Basic French Review,' 'Intermediate French 1,' and 'Francophone World: Text, Sound, and Image.' This latter course serves as a bridge course between the language sequence and more advanced courses, focusing on contemporary issues within the French and Francophone world. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to teaching language and culture, fostering a dynamic learning environment, and enhancing our program's offerings. Salary Wage Range Pay Transparency Disclosure: The salary for this position is $42,000 - $44,000.When extending an offer of employment, Vassar College considers factors such as (but not limited to) candidates education/training, work experience, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations.
