National Grid Relay Tester C in Potsdam, New York
About the Position: We are presently seeking a Relay Tester C for an opening in Potsdam, NY. In addition to a starting wage of $58.11 per hour, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more. Under general supervisor to install, test and maintain the most complicated types of relays when used in connection with the most involved control systems and equipment arrangements at major stations on the bulk power system; to test equipment involving the bulk power system such as large circuit breakers; and to test and maintain the most complicated equipment such as supervisory, tone, telemetering, and carrier equipment.
Job Qualifications:
Must pass validated aptitude test.
Must have high school diploma or GED
Must have valid drivers license
Must have AAS degree in Electrical Technology from an accredited school or equivalent training program. OR must have an AOS Degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance from an accredited school
Must have three years’ satisfactory in relay related field and previous experience. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in related work.
