Kelly Services R&D Lab Technician in Portland, Oregon

Kelly Science and Clinical is excited to be hiring R&D Laboratory Technician for a company in Tigard, OR! The R&D Lab Technician will perform duties in the development of new monoclonal antibodies and recombinant antigens. Including, but not limited to high throughput screening by ELISA, protein purification and cell culture

Job Duties:

  • High throughput screening of new hybridoma cell lines.

  • Purification of antibodies and other proteins via Protein A, Protein G and IMAC.

  • Characterization of antibodies by ELISA, Ouchterlony, SDS-PAGE and western blot.

  • Occasional need to perform mammalian and E. coli tissue culture.

  • Buffer and reagent preparation

  • General lab maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biotechnology, medical technology, or related scientific field.

  • Proficiency with aseptic techniques required for tissue culture.

  • Experience making serial dilutions.

  • Solid understanding of chemistry principles.

  • Working knowledge of basic operation of laboratory equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated and bring a positive attitude.

  • Strong quantitative analysis skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties.

  • Strong computer and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
