CVS Health Pharmacy Technician - Patient Care Coordinator - No Nights/Weekends in Portland, Maine

Job Description

As a CVS Specialty Pharmacy, Apothecary by Design (ABD) operates in the heart of Portland, Maine. We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Care Coordinator pharmacy technician. This position specializes in autoimmune diseases (such as rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology, etc), oncology, multiple sclerosis, hepatitis, HIV, and organ transplant.The Patient Care Coordinator works under the direction of the Team Lead and Operations Manager to coordinate the needs of patients taking complex medications related to their medical condition, disease or illness. You will work proactively with our patients, provider offices and clients via the telephone and directly onsite to compassionately and efficiently coordinate medication shipments, medication adherence services, provider support, and overall customer service for specialty medications. In addition, you will have a thorough knowledge of specialty operations to ensure that our patients are maximizing the integrated pharmacy services provided by Apothecary by Design.We are open from 8:00am - 6:00pm Monday through Friday. You will be asked to work 40 hours/ full time within these hours.We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision insurance as well as a wide-ranging list of supplemental benefits and discount programs. Required Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacy Technician License in Maine (prior to start date).

As a part of this process, you will be required to provide information or documentation about the reason you cannot be vaccinated. If your request for an accommodation is not approved, then your employment may be terminated.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a pharmacy technician- Experience working at an a prescriber's office or insurance company in benefit investigation


  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
