PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Operations Accounting Analyst works closely and collaboratively with all departments to help evaluate an organization's income and spending and provides detailed reports that include projections for profits and losses. Adheres to accounting concepts, practices and procedures. Support continuous improvement and document control. Focuses on IATF standard for cost accounting and quality improvement through a formal commitment to excellence, cost efficiency and reliability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:

  • Maintain standard cost system at all locations
  1. review of price changes, and updating forecast for material costs, maintaining labour routings

  2. maintaining current machine cost files, updated as business mix changes, provide support for product quoting activity

  • Tracking and reporting of product line profitability

  • Month end close activities including:

  1. Running Trans4M month end close processes, generating necessary month end reports

  2. Analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries

  3. Prepare trend analysis and provide explanations for significant variances

  4. Completion of month end reporting requirements for Stellantis as well as internal CpK reporting

  • Ongoing maintenance of files that track bank activity including preparation of bank reconciliations and intercompany accounting

  • Maintain fixed asset sub ledgers in Sage software and ensure tagging of assets is current

  • General ledger account analysis on a monthly basis, including preparation of account reconciliations and submission in Stellantis account reconciliation system

  • Support for annual budget submissions and other forecast cycles as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge/Skill/Experience):

  • University degree in a business program, preferably someone pursuing CPA designation

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment which includes maintaining a standard costing system and associated variance analysis

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Comfort preparing and delivery reports to decision makers

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to utilize technical skills to create charts and graphs for visual understanding

  • Strong computer application skills: Advanced Excel, T4M, IFW, Synerion, ADP, PowerPoint
