Job Summary
Join Industrial Blower Services as a Service Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in the mechanical repair, servicing, hire, installation, and commissioning of rotating plant equipment for our diverse client base. Primarily focusing on blower and vacuum pumps and associated machinery, this position offers a mechanically biased role with potential advantages for those with electrical or control experience.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical repair, servicing, installation, and commissioning of rotating plant equipment, focusing on blowers and vacuum pumps.
Conduct detailed site surveys for equipment upgrades and maintenance.
Adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards to ensure a secure working environment.
Work on-site across various industries, engaging in routine maintenance and complex fault identification and rectification.
Represent the company during discussions with site engineers and managers.
Complete necessary documentation such as service reports and Risk and Method Statements.
Report hazards, accidents, damages, or defects promptly.
Travel within the UK and occasionally work away from home independently or as a team.
Basic Qualifications
Full, clean Driving Licence
Recognised engineering apprenticeship
Minimum GCSE’s in Maths and English
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards applicable to mechanical engineering
Good computer literacy is essential with knowledge of Microsoft Office suites
Basic electrical or control experience advantage
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
This role involves regular travel throughout the South of England including visits to the depot in Poole, Dorset.
