Position Summary:

As Solutran’s Product Manager for Client Integration and Service Delivery, you will own the product and modules that drive all client data integrations and consumer eligibility, entitlement, and adjudication of our service offerings. This module, referred to at Solutran as Eligibility, Issuance & Collateral (EIC), is the most critical module of our end-to-end “healthcare meets fintech” suite of service offerings. Eligibility, Issuance & Collateral facilitates and enables all Solutran services across the portfolio. You will own and build the integration with each of our clients, who are the largest in the healthcare industry, to ingest data using flat-file and/or API architecture as integration options. The integration is the lifeline between us and our customers. Once ingested EIC will use the data to make eligibility determination and enrollment across a large suite of service offerings. After eligibility is determined, EIC must determine the amount and frequency of benefits/financial services that the consumer will be allotted while applying client specific configuration that drive complex service-specific business rules.

Our services are accessed either digitally using mobile applications or electronically using branded Visa branded cards or using our Solutran S3 Payment tender which is accepted at over 30,000 merchants nationwide. The final responsibility of EIC is to ready the consumer for consumption of our services by equipping them with the financial vehicle. digital or electronic, they will use. For example, the EIC module will determine, based on hundreds of designs that change annually, which Visa or S3 Card designs, welcome material or catalogues is mailed or delivered electronically to the consumer. The module enables all our consumer engagements and must operate 24/7/365 while always reconciling the millions of dollars accessed each month.

Our goal is to enable a consumer enrollment and decisioning module that can support fast, scalable, and diverse integrations and stand-ups. You will lead a vision for both the business and technical applications the module can support. As we expand our product reach and enter adjacent markets, the ability to scale this module will have tremendous impact on growth and retention. You will own the products design and architecture while advancing its operational reach and dependency and building a roadmap for its future in the healthcare markets and beyond.

Our Product Managers drive the leadership vision combined with their own to develop products and services that have high consumer engagement and expansive market reach by combining a strong technical foundation with a client-centric and growth-oriented product execution strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead partnerships with other Product Managers, Functional-Departments between and the Product/Engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve customers’ integration experience while implementing integrations more efficiently and effectively

  • Develop and maintain a detailed, end-to-end understanding of every integration throughout the Solutran technical environment, including all dependencies, data transformations, and calculations at both granular and summary levels

  • Be a subject matter expert and liaison for the internal and external project stakeholders on all technical projects by defining and managing technical requirements, deliverables, and timelines with respect to integrations and data integrity

  • Lead, support and when appropriate manage the releases for our products, technical applications, major architecture changes, and support updates with respect to the integrations and interactions between the various products

  • Develop a deep understanding of our platform and technology and help shape our strategy

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on Solutran’s integration capabilities and primary point of contact to advise and resolve integration-related escalations across the company

  • Be the voice of the customer (both internal and external) and work collaboratively with product development teams to design, deliver, and enhance product capabilities to meet all customer requirements

  • Gain a deep understanding of the customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas to align the customer problem-space with our strategy and product vision

  • Collect business, technical feedback and requirements, define, and prioritize product requirements, synthesize the feedback into the product definitions and ensure successful product releases with high customer satisfaction

  • Build and continuously refine the implementation methodology/best practices and identify integration patterns to inform repeatable and scalable ways to deliver efficient and successful integration experiences

  • Provide technical and project management leadership and guidance to the team to ensure projects are completed within expectations

  • Educate teams on product integrations through documentation and training sessions

  • Participate in prioritizing Sprint backlogs and planning and running Sprints and releases for technical scrum team

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Technical Product Management/Product Owner or equivalent experience

  • 4+ year of experience demonstrating success defining and launching products in an Agile environment

  • 4+ years of proficiency level experience in designing and documenting user flows and workflows to support application development

  • 3+ years of experience using quantitative and qualitative data to assess priorities and influence roadmaps

  • 3+ years of experience using data analysis tools (e.g., A|B test software, Tableau) and/or scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) to inform product decisions

  • 3+ years of experience in technical stack, platform architecture, and software integration design, and APIs

  • Skilled and experienced using Agile/Scrum or similar methodologies, Jira, writing user stories, and managing backlog

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency and experience developing and optimizing Structured Query Language (SQL) to analyze and query data

  • Experience in Fintech, healthcare, health insurance or any one or combination thereof

  • Experience with ANSI 834 or other healthcare standard file interchanges

  • Payments industry knowledge

  • Detail oriented with critical thinking skills – ability to break down initiative-level requirements into feature and story attribute level details

  • Demonstrated project team leadership skills

  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously; strategic thinking with ability to build strong working relationships across organizational teams in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with non-technical and technical people inside and outside the organization

  • Exceptional product roadmap creation & execution skills

  • Technical skills to translate business requirements into terms that developers can understand

  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and formal presentation

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
