Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Integrated Marketing Operations Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Media Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the research, development, implementation, and measurement of paid media strategy and tactical plan recommendations supporting Toyota’s vehicle portfolio.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Media, the person in this role will support the department's objective of developing consumer-centric media strategies and tactical plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders and agency partners.

This position is based in Plano, Texas, with a hybrid mix of some in-office time and some remote work. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supervise four (4) media planners who each lead media planning initiatives for vehicle portfolios covering all Toyota products including: 1. Trucks/Body on Frame (Tundra, Sequoia, 4Runner, Land Cruiser, Tacoma), 2. Core Models (Camry, Corolla Family, Highlander, Grand Highlander, RAV4), 3. GR/Hybrid (GR Family, Crown Family, Sienna), 4. EV/Alt Fuel (bZ4X, Mirai, Prius Family).

  • Manage relationships and deliverables related to contract SOWs for the following key data sources and/or martech analytics platforms: EDO, Neustar Multitouch Attribution (MTA), Acxiom/LiveRamp Data Onboarding and Activation Platform (DOAP), Google Analytics, Google Digital and Video 360 (DV360), eMarketer, Mintel.

  • Manage the relationships with four (4) national agency partners throughout the media planning and measurement process while holding partners accountable to deliver agreed upon scope of work and plan budgets.

  • Collaborate closely with internal Toyota marketing teams to align paid media plans with the product strategy, supporting marketing and campaign objectives.

  • Support key Toyota media initiatives including but not limited to sports buys (e.g., NFL), video upfront planning, annual marketing initiative budgeting and prioritization.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Proven experience as a collaborator, inspired by strategic thinking, advocacy building, and providing consultative guidance throughout a campaign’s development process.

  • Experience with growing and developing a team.

  • Strong communication skills with the proven ability to transform complex topics concisely into approachable and impactful recommendations.

  • Strong skills in critical thinking, market analysis, problem-solving, relationship building, time management and project prioritization.

  • Experience managing media/marketing technology partner relationships.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in setting and delivering media objectives and KPIs and ability to translate observations into actionable insights.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and agency teams simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

Added bonus if you have

  • MBA.

  • 10+ years of media or marketing experience with familiarity of paid, owned, and earned media channels.
