Who W e’re Looking For

Toyota’s CSRM group is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as a Senior Manager II, Cybersecurity Risk & Operations Management - Compliance.

The primary responsibility of this role is to sponsor, advocate, and lead the TMNA organization to assess, track, and provide executive guidance on the Toyota ecosystem cybersecurity current condition, future condition, and gaps. They must develop, run, and maintain a comprehensive TMNA compliance and platform roadmap and framework. To ensure success in this position, they should possess seasoned knowledge regarding cybersecurity risk management processes, compliance with regulations, GRC tools, business processes and dependencies. Also, ability to coach and empower high performing teams. They must share the TMNA practices and processes globally and provide services to our Japan headquarters and other Toyota regions as needed. They track assessments and remediation points to protect key Toyota assets.

Reporting to the Group Manager, the person in this role will join the collaborative and agile Cybersecurity Risk and Operations Management team to visualize and reduce Toyota's technology risk, guide the strategy and business of cybersecurity risk management.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Significant technical and business knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity risk management compliance (e.g., SOX ITGC, CCPA, NIST) and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).

  • Provide business value to Toyota through the standardization, implementation, and execution of assessments and risk mitigation tracking across the Toyota ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams including but not limited to IT, Finance and Accounting, Compliance, Internal and External Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Office of Privacy, and Japan Headquarters, and Legal Counsel to ensure implementation of best practice cybersecurity processes.

  • Use and recommend tools or automation to improve the customer experience of interacting with cybersecurity risk management.

  • Develop/select, maintain, and educate leadership on the cybersecurity platform strategy and three-year roadmaps.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, other engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 15+ years of Cybersecurity/IT risk management experience.

  • Expert knowledge of cybersecurity risk management processes (both qualitative and quantitative).

  • Experience with compliance regulations/laws, security frameworks, and standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, ISO, COBIT, OWASP, ITIL).

  • Ability to exercise and mentor others on good professional judgment and security-related ethics.

  • 15+ years of leadership experience.

  • Progressive leadership experience including demonstrated ability to engage, lead, and develop high-performing teams through goal setting, performance appraisal, career planning, mentoring, coaching, and development.

  • Extensive leadership skills in planning, organization, leading, and measuring service-driven teams.

  • Collaborates across departments and challenges the status quo to drive difficult discussions for long-term strategic benefit.

  • Initiates and drives strategies and methodologies to ensure the long-term sustainability of cyber risk management policies, processes, and services.

  • Influences executives and makes cyber risk management decisions with wide impact across IT, business, and Toyota ecosystem.

  • Navigate highly variable and challenging enterprise-wide situations by building and maintaining ongoing business relationships using strong interpersonal skills and extensive expertise in change management to influence and build consensus to achieve acceptance of strategic ideas with senior management and executives (inside and outside of IT).

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Master’s degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or related field.

  • CISA, CISSP, CISM, or other related cybersecurity certifications.

  • Federal Regulations understanding (e.g., SOX, CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, executive orders).

  • Agile, Scrum, Lean, or related certifications.

  • Toyota Production System skills.
