Toyota’s Corporate Accounting Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Analyst, Accounting Systems.

The primary responsibility of this role is the overall administration, configuration and ongoing support to end users for Blackline. This role partners with cross-functional teams across Accounting & Finance and other areas to identify opportunities for improving process efficiencies, establishing appropriate controls and supporting business needs/growth. In addition, this role will assist with the monthly close process ensuring that allocations are completed accurately and timely in SAP, and tasks are completed according to the close calendar.

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Systems and Projects, the person in this role will support the Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting department's objective of timely financial close and accurate reporting of financial information.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage all administrative tasks for 3 modules (Task Management, Account Reconciliations and Transaction Matching) in Blackline.

  • Create, assign and monitor tasks in Blackline to streamline financial workflows.

  • Maintain data integrity and quality in Blackline including data imports and exports.

  • Provide training and support to end users while troubleshooting their issues to ensure a smooth user experience in Blackline.

  • Perform monthly SOX controls such as reconciling the data between SAP and Blackline, obtaining SOC 1, 2, 3 reports, reviewing user access and reporting timelines/completeness of account reconciliations.

  • Oversee the monthly SAP allocation process by working with IT to ensure each allocation step is completed on time.

  • Compliance with and support of external/internal audits which include public accounting quarterly reviews, annual audits and controls testing.

  • Update desk procedures and relevant policies, procedures and SOX narratives and process flows.

  • Support the Reimagine Blackline project to ensure end users are fully leveraging the functionality of Blackline.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with partnering teams and stakeholders to identify system improvement opportunities.

  • Stay up-to-date with Blackline updates and collaborate with IT for system upgrades and enhancements.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Business or related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting/auditing (inclusive of years of public accounting)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting

  • Strong financial, analytical and systems skills

  • A broad knowledge of foreign currency, consolidation and application of US GAAP and SEC regulations

  • Mainframe/transactional system experience with SAP, PeopleSoft and Blackline

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams

  • Detail-oriented and organized.

  • Willing to learn and improve processes.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Team player who will be responsive to urgent system issues and demonstrate effective cross-functional collaboration with other teams.

  • Sarbanes Oxley experience

  • SAP experience

  • Admin experience in Blackline (any modules)

  • Knowledge of system interfaces
