Who We’re Looking For

Toyota’s OneTech Vendor Management Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Vendor Management Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is working across a global complex organization and collaborating with internal customers, Toyota Procurement, Toyota Legal/Contracts, Value Added Resellers, and product vendors in areas of responsibility.

Reporting to George Childress, the person in this role will support the OneTech Business Operations department's objective to lead and promote collaboration both internally and externally to achieve the strategic objectives set by the OCIO related to sourcing, renewals, cost objectives, and kaizen.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and lead strategic vendor initiatives in support of annual OneTech global and regional hoshin.

  • Engage and support business units in problem resolution, strategy review, opportunities, and feedback to vendors.

  • Lead and develop team members to support organizational goals and objectives.

  • Implement comprehensive vendor category strategy, standards, and processes including benchmarking new technology and collaborating with Experience Teams to identify BU needs and expectations.

  • Promote cross-organizational and cross-affiliate collaboration including strategic initiatives, vendor processes, vendor competitiveness, cost reduction strategies, and best practices.

  • Be a trusted partner to the leadership team; work collaboratively across the organization to produce actionable insight for strategic decision-making.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • 5 – 7 years of increasing management experience with demonstrated increases in responsibility.

  • 5 – 7 years of disciplined OneTech Vendor Management experience, including complex contract reviews with large-scale strategic vendors.

  • Current or previous project management experience.

  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and leading long-term projects/programs.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels of management to help transform the organization.

Added Bonus If You Have

  • 7+ years of increasing management experience with demonstrated increases in responsibility

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Vendor Management experience or equivalent including complex contract reviews with large-scale strategic vendors.

  • MBA

  • PMP, CAPM, CPMP, CSM, or CPM

  • Successful completion of TBP and JKK.
