Neurosciences Institute – Neurology (NIN), is the region's largest and most experienced stroke network. Our Neurological Specialists work together to provide wide-ranging, seamlessly connected neurological care. We are seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to join the outpatient Neurology team at Atrium Health Neurosciences Institute Neurology – Pineville, NC.
This is an incredibly busy practice with a great reputation in the community with engaged physicians and APPs.
Position Details
Prior APP and/or Neurology experience is preferred but not required.
Outpatient setting
Desirable Monday-Friday schedule with option of 4-day workweek.
Clinical focus on outpatient stroke care and cerebrovascular risk factor reduction.
Provide both post-acute and continuity care for stroke patients in outpatient clinic setting.

10-14 patients per day (stroke hospital follow-ups and subsequent stroke continuity care providing care during post acute period)
No call or weekends.
Essential Functions
Performs physical examinations, assessments, and develops appropriate plan of care.
Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
Orders and interprets daily laboratory and radiology examinations.
Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record.
Attends, participates, and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of standard procedures for department.
