Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute at Pineville is seeking a full-time Cardiology acute care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team of Cardiology Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

About the Position:

· Day shift position that is a combination of inpatient and outpatient cardiology, with a focus on quality care to the patients we serve.

· Autonomous part of our team-based care model and utilized to top of license and scope on our inpatient general cardiology service and ambulatory clinic.

· Direct in hospital care services and perform medical acts under the supervision of the Service line physician to all patients on the cardiology service including general cardiology, Interventional, and Heart Failure (HF) patients.

· Areas of clinical work include but not limited to medicine/surgical floors, cardiovascular telemetry unit, CVICU, med/surg ICU, Emergency Department, and the cardiovascular OBS unit.

· Will also have responsibilities in the ambulatory clinic seeing patients independently when there are no inpatient service needs.

Position Highlights:

· Hours: Monday to Friday, 10-11 hr shifts, 0.8 FTE

· Occasional weekends/holidays may be required

· No call coverage

· Inpatient and outpatient coverage

Ideal Candidate:

· Cardiology experience is required as well as at least 2 years of experience as a NP/PA

· Flexible and enjoys working with a team

· Highly motivated with superb communication and organizational skills with a commitment to provide quality care to the patients we serve in the Greater Charlotte community

Qualifications:

· Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. Acute Care board certification required.

· Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master’s Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
