We are actively recruiting an experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Atrium Health Pineville . Our facility is a rapidly growing community hospital with 394 beds. The hospital is located in Pineville, NC, 14 miles south of the city, just northeast of the South Carolina border.
Details of this practice:
Location - Pineville, NC
Work schedule - 13-hour shifts (6a-7p or 6p-7a; days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
Service provides 24/7 coverage with a shift-based model
Inpatient - Adults 100%
Cardiac medical ICU, cardiothoracic surgical ICU, medical ICU, and surgical ICU
Attending Intensivists provide supervision at our busy medical center that includes a 30 adult ICU unit and expanding to include a second 14 bed adult ICU unit in 2024
NP and PA duties include daily management and documentation of complicated critically ill medical and surgical patients
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited ACNP or PA program
Nurse practitioners are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice. Certification as an ACNP from a nationally recognized certifying body is required
Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs is required
Post graduate ICU fellowship or experience in an ICU setting as a PA or NP preferred. Applicants with significant and recent ICU experience as an RN will be considered
Interpersonal skills and critical thinking must be demonstrated
North Carolina license, North Carolina DEA, BLS and ACLS required
