Pine Technical and Community College seeks two Accounting Officers to provide professional financial services, specifically- in the area of fiscal transactions, the Campus Store, preparation of budgets and organizing a wide range of financial data for department supervisors and administrators.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three years of progressive professional accounting work experience or related experience.

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices sufficient to analyze and interpret fiscal data.

  • Knowledge of budget terminology and principles sufficient to assist in preparing and monitoring the annual College budget

  • Advanced computer skills in word processing, database management, and spreadsheets, etc

  • Ability to prepare and interpret complex fiscal reports and records

  • Ability to interpret and implement policies and laws related to accounting practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • Knowledge of Statewide accounting (or comparable) system sufficient to compile, analyze, and interpret fiscal information for use by management

  • Effective organization, time management and communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal relations skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with College staff, students, system-level finance staff, auditors, and vendors/contractors

Additional Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
