Job Description

The Infrastructure Support Engineer is responsible for the operational support of API Connect, DataPower, APP Connect Enterprise (ACE), and IBM Cloud Pak on OpenShift. This role will support incoming requests for support, incidents, and change requests across the environments, pulling in vendor support as needed. They are responsible for creating and using dashboards, reports, and alerts to quickly determine health of the systems and identify issues as soon as they arise. This role will be involved in root cause analysis as well as determining and implemented best practice and SOP enhancements. The Infrastructure Support Engineer will support a 24x7 on-call schedule on a weekly rotation. They will also perform after-hours changes and support other teams with their changes as needed

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 33.65

Maximum: 67.31

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

3 years experience supporting infrastructure platforms interacting with consumers of the platform as well other teams to troubleshoot and find root cause on issues. Ability to effectively troubleshoot network related issues. Familiarity with Linux CLI and able to parse through log files to troubleshoot issues. Ability to support rotating 24x7 on-call schedule

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following technologies: - DataPower Gateway - App Connect Enterprise / IIB - API Connect - OpenShift/Kubernetes; IBM Cloud Pak products a plus. Automation capability using shell, python, ansible, or similar. Dashboarding, reporting, and alerting using Splunk or similar tools. Strong drive for process improvement and operational excellence.


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
