Fox Rothschild LLP Escrow Accounting Clerk in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As a member of the Accounting Department, the Escrow Accounting Clerk assists the finance accounting team to promptly and accurately process escrow banking and reconciliation. Primary Responsibilities *Reconcile and accurately balance escrow accounts in a timely manner. Report discrepancies and exceptions and ensure they are resolved. *Enter data into the system and prepare reports to reconcile entries. *Review documentation and audit files for completeness. *Prepare Excel reports and distribute reports to management. *Scan and upload documents for electronic filing. *Process escrow transactions; deposits, withdrawals and bank wires. Additional Responsibilities *Assist other accounting and billing staff, with tasks and projects, when necessary. Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): *High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree or higher, preferably in accounting preferred. *At least 3 years of law firm experience in accounting and bookkeeping. *Escrow accounting experience desired. *Proficient computer skills with intermediate or advanced Excel skills. *Experience with paperless record maintenance, including scanning, indexing and retrieving documents/accounting records. *Excellent math skills and experience balancing and reconciling deposits and payment. *Excellent spoken and written communication skills. *Great attention to detail and accuracy and efficiency when performing data entry tasks. *Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks. Work Environment and Physical Demands *This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
