Lockheed Martin Network Analyst in Palmdale, California
Description: This position is to support the LM DV2 Palmdale, CA campuses primarily supporting the Aeronautics customer. The position will be responsible to perform cable infrastructure job walks, design of new network and voice infrastructure installations. The position will require new or added hardware and trouble shooting of cable infrastructures. The technician will be a focal point between IT Network operations and on-site cabling contractors. This position will also support and have working knowledge of applying network Information Technology (IT) principles, procedures and techniques to complete, network system analysis, operations and maintenance in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol LAN/MAN/WAN environment. Position is responsible for successfully supporting multiple LAN infrastructures including the Lockheed Martin network, occasional Program specific networks, VoIP and extranet environments. Position will also be responsible for the successful operational support and analysis of network performance including support of network optimization appliances, wireless access points and controllers, firewalls and DNS/DHCP infrastructure configuration activities.
-Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS clearance
-Ability to obtain Comp TIA Sec+ certification within 6 months of hire
-Experience with networking and fault isolation
-Experience with LANWAN/MAN environments
-Experience with configuring, support and troubleshooting a TCP/IP-based network including IP addressing and subnetting
-Fiber Optic Networks L1, L2 and L3 support: fiber optic cabling, fusion splicing and fiber optic termination.
-Ability to work with copper, data, voice and cable networks.
-Installation of CAT5e, CAT6 cabling
-Ability to scope out infrastructure requirement for telecommunications scope of work projections.
-Ability to provide scope of work and installation projections for audio and video installations
-Experience with network monitoring, management, and reporting tools
-Ability to lift 35lbs
-Must be able to support a rotational on-call support model
-Demonstrated technical support and hands on knowledge in VoIP implementation
-Knowledge of MS Office suites including Visio drawing application
-Candidate must be able to successfully multi-task between assignments
-Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to create and present project summary and scope
-Ability to work with and support all levels of management
-Experience with wireless network
-Knowledge of Service Now or Remedy
