Job Purpose and Impact
The Assistant Plant Managerwill lead all production and operating processes by being responsible for the operations agenda and leading an engaged team that will execute business deliverables. In this role, you will ensure safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale objectives are met.
Directly operate or supervise the operation of the whole production line, lead all staff in the shift, including contract worker.
Responsible for the safety of people during their shift. Monitor and maintain proper safety requirements in the shift.
Responsible for safe products in the shift. Monitor and maintain the product's quality according to the standard.
Train staff on relevant safety, Food Safety Quality Regulatory production to ensure that all staff are trained in accordance with regulations.
You will have some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, and much of your time is spent completing the same tasks as the subordinate employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the plant
Minimum one + years of experience in a supervisory role
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to travel 5%
2 + years of Pet food extrusion experience
2 + years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
2 + years in a high-speed manufacturing packaging environment
2 + in EH&S compliance
1 + year experience in Food Safety quality and regulatory compliance
Experience using SAP
