This position will be responsible for a security team of 8-10 members plus contractors, covering security engineering (cloud, network, endpoint, email), incident response, vulnerability management, application security, automation, forensics, and eDiscovery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in creating an innovative security strategy and financial plan with other members of management, ensuring alignment with business and information technology priorities.
Ensure that all security capabilities meet business and regulatory requirements, align with architectural patterns, and are performant and efficient.
Drive initiatives and goals/objectives, ensuring quality and timely delivery within approved budget.
Provide clear communication on approach, status, issues, and risks on a regular basis to manage stakeholder expectations.
Drive lifecycle management of solutions from selection to implementation to maintenance to sunset/termination.
Provide stable, available, and operationally effective services and solutions.
Employ a continuous improvement mindset. Seek customer feedback regularly. Surface and identify repeat problems or service challenges. Craft and drive improvement plans to close gaps.
Collaborate on business and IT projects to ensure security requirements are addressed throughout the project life cycle.
Develop relationships with key vendors and support development of cost-efficient comprehensive contracts that protect the company.
Provide regular performance feedback to team members to drive their growth, development, and overall performance.

Bachelor's degree in information security/assurance, computer science, information systems, or a related field; or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience.
Five (5) to ten (10) years information and cyber security related experience with demonstrated leadership (team lead, project management, etc.).
Demonstrates proficiency in the one or more areas of information/cyber security, including experience defining security standards to meet business/regulatory requirements, and evaluating, implementing, and maintaining security solutions for large scale, complex environments.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience managing complex projects.
IT vendor management experience.
Ability to interact with personnel at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and to understand business imperatives.
Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to guide team members, including remote team members, and to work with minimal supervision.
Strong work ethic and self-discipline, as this position is eligible to work from home.
A strong customer focus, with the ability to manage expectations appropriately, to provide a superior customer experience, and build long-term relationships.
Demonstrated knowledge of information security management via relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications.
Hands-on experience with security technologies.
Experience developing compliance standards and frameworks.
Ability to travel up to 5%; occasional travel associated with support the cross-company needs and/or vendor relations.
Experience moving to and/or securing cloud infrastructure or managed services.
Experience managing teams of five (5) or more members.
MBA or advanced degree in related field.
This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
