This is a Hybrid Role and the ideal candidate will be based out of the Black and Veatch headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas.
The Opportunity
As the HR Business Partner , you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and Execute Human Resources (HR) Strategies to support leadership in achievement of business objectives
Provide executive level HR consultation
Consult and execute on various HR cyclical activities (Pay Planning, Succession Planning, Performance Review, etc)
Coordinates with COEs and other specialist to execute strategy within assigned client base
Work collaboratively across parts of BV leadership within the business and HR
The Team
As part of BV Business Enablement, you will be part of the critical and forward-thinking group that enables our people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible by providing creative solutions. Functions in this group include CIO/Global Information Technology, Diode, ESH&S, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive level consultation and support our Business Enablement Group. This group consists of Legal, IT, Finance, Human Resources, and other area support functions for the overall business.
This may include areas such as:
Workforce planning
Staffing consultation
Training, development, and skill enhancement
Succession planning
Organization design
Performance management
Culture assessment and development
Employee relations & coaching
Compensation administration
Identifies, plans, executes critical HR goals
Identify critical HR goals and factors for success; is responsible for executing related actions
Cultivatea partnering relationship with top line leaders
Consult and provideinsights to leaders
Be a change agent for implementing new HR programs, processes and/or initiatives
Advisemanagement on HR Policies, programs, and procedures
Actas liaison between division and HR functional areas
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business-related field; Human Resources preferred; Master’s degree preferred
Extensive knowledge of domestic employment law and compliance issues (local, state and federal, such as Fair Labor Standards Act, Wage & Hour)
Extensive knowledge of international employment and immigration laws and regulations
Good understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Plan regulations and company goals
Strong knowledge of HR programs, policies and procedures understanding of Human Resource Information System(s) Excellent problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve) Ability to manage several projects of functional areas concurrently
Strong human relations skills (written, verbal, client service)
Strong long-term conceptual planning ability Business acumen and ability to understand business metrics and financials
Good Microsoft program skills
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years progressive HR and/or Staffing experience; Workforce planning experience required.
