Team & Job Overview
The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. DTS has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:
Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.
Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
The Workplace Solutions & ITSM team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technology Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing technology projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Technology Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
The core elements of the job are about organizing people and time resources and seeing the project through from inception to completion. Project managers have ultimate responsibility for meeting the businesses or client’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Developing schedules and methods for measuring results
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the project

Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities
Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products
Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
Screening Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on technology projects.
Strong proficiency in:
Resource planning, Scheduling, requirements gathering, Process improvements.
Agile/Scrum.
Confident decision making.
Design and development.
Project management methodologies and tools.
Project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ADO, ServiceNow platform).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of initiative and self-motivation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Assets:
Experience with End-User Computing, Provisioning and their management platforms.
Familiarity with Windows/Mac Operating Systems, iOS/iPadOS, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Window 365 Cloud PC.
Knowledge of Telephony & Fax, VoIP, Teams Calling, Fax Gateway, Meeting Room & Collaboration technologies, Digital Employee Experience and ITSM/ServiceNow Processes.
Understanding of Microsoft 365, including Tenant Management, M365 Apps for Business, MS Exchange and Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, One Drive for Business, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Copilot for M365.
Bilingual in both official languages (English and French)
Compensation Details:
- Project Manager 18: Salaries typically range from $94,664 to $126,219 annually, based on qualifications and experiences plus a performance-based incentive

Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
This role will be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa.
