Your role

As a Senior Analyst in our team, you will provide a high degree of specialized support to Directors and Corporate Managers in the areas of Accounting and Reporting. This includes conducting detailed and complex analysis and research of financial information and other non-financial data to support those activities. You will guide and liaise with different Finance stakeholders in order to gather information to support the results of their analysis. You will also conduct analysis to ensure adherence to accounting policies, practices, internal controls, identify deviations and make recommendations for changes.

Key Responsibilities:

You will conduct detailed and complex analysis of financial and non-financial data to support:

  • The quarterly IFRS Financial Statements for Senior Management and the Audit Committee;

  • The Consolidated IFRS Financial statements included in CBC/Radio-Canada’s Annual Report;

  • The annual audit and quarterly procedures;

  • Compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);

  • Quarterly and Annual Compliance with the Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS);

  • The accounting and the financial disclosures for complex accounting transactions or new IFRS Accounting Standards or IFRS Sustainability Standards;

  • The presentations prepared for Senior Management and the Audit Committee;

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent);

  • Three to five years of experience in related field demonstrating growth and/or advancement in complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibility;

  • Fluently bilingual in French and English;

  • Knowledge and experience in areas of financial reporting and accounting;

  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Capacity to interpret and reorganize data and information of a complex nature for presentation to all levels of management, in a clear and concise manner;

  • Ability and skills to make recommendations in writing for senior management;

  • Be capable of working with various levels of management and as a strong team player;

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
