You want to be the next Payroll Administrative support (Workday) to join the HR Shared Services - Payroll team? We are looking for dynamic people with the ability to provide administrative and transactional support in the processing of payroll events. While the work must conform to CBC standard operations, HR Policies, Collective Agreements, current tax legislation and labor standards and administrative procedures, there is the opportunity and a requirement for independent judgment and decision making within sets of complex parameters.
We are looking to fill two positions.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for third party payments including those for RRSP’s, credit unions, and union dues
Manage the set up and payment of employee garnishments, including liaising with all agencies requesting the garnishment
Work with union to make sure all payments made on behalf of their members are correct
Process pays for various groups, both within Performers and Corporate Payroll
Analyze payments made to individuals when there are queries about these payments
Manage payments that need to be cancelled
Process salary advances when required
Reconcile several payroll accounts within SAP on a monthly basis
Assist in preparing year-end tax forms
Manage the recovery of accounts receivable across multiple pay systems
Answer all questions received from Service Canada in writing or verbally depending on the request
Reconcile receivable for employees with prepayment of benefits.
Process Record of Employments.
Qualifications:
Requires post-secondary education in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
Requires 2 years of related experience at CBC or similar organization in related field
Knowledge of Workday or other pay processing system
Knowledge of Federal and Provincial tax laws is an asset
Attention to detail and strong concentration skills required
Good analytical skills and strong ability to solve a variety of problems
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills, ability to manage several priorities and meet multiple, tight deadlines
Strong judgment, initiative and resourcefulness
Discretion, diplomacy and tact in communications with staff and/or managers
Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times
Excellent customer service skills and good team player
Bilingualism is required
Ability to work overtime
