On the Bell Business Markets team, you’ll be a vital part of making innovation happen for enterprise-scale customers. You’ll deliver advanced solutions in areas such as IoT, Mobility/5G, Cloud, Cyber Security, Voice, Collaboration & Contact Centre and Internet & Private Networks.

Summary

Reporting to the Sales Manager, Public Safety and Instant Communications, the Client Executive role is an integral component in driving Bell Business Markets’ Instant Communications (IC) portfolio of products in Government, Commercial and Public Safety markets. You will be part of a national team that works with our Bell Business Market sales channel to promote the IC suite of products and services to Bell’s existing base of corporate clients. You will be responsible for net new clients as well as growing your existing base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for new opportunities within the Instant Communication portfolio with a focus on public safety radio and wireless instant communications services in a face-to-face selling role

  • Responsible for high risk, complex larger accounts, with significant revenue opportunities and/or a strong market share protection mandate

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding established sales objectives

  • Cultivates effective long-term relationships with key influencers and decision makers

  • Prepare customer quotes and proposals with an attention to detail and accuracy

  • Prepares and conducts formal group presentations

  • Builds account plans, based on customer business objectives and future business plans aiding clients in planning their communications and systems integration strategies

  • Develops medium and long-term sales strategies (full product line and non-standard products/services: i.e. strategic vendor alliances)

  • Maintains a high degree of competitive and product knowledge including evolving technology trends across the full range of products and services on both a self-initiated and company initiated basis

  • Establishes and maintains effective entry barriers to competition through strategic product and personnel positioning within an account

  • Anticipates, recognizes and overcomes roadblocks in the decision making process by capitalizing on the knowledge of the customer’s flow of internal control, power and influence

  • Develops internal customer and industry alliances and support

  • Support and sell alongside Government, Enterprise and Commercial internal sales channels and Dealer channels as assigned

  • Develop, deliver and lead client proposals and presentations including RFP’s

Administration and Planning

  • Provides input to corporate processes such as product/service forecasts, competitive intelligence, sales plans and all customer records, including the initiation and development of new business opportunity identification reports

  • Conducts comprehensive results analysis including wins-losses and develops/executes appropriate actions plans

  • Develops and documents a personal territorial, account and/or sales plan

  • Effectively utilizes sales tools, Sales Funnel management to optimize results

  • Works on an autonomous basis to meet broad job objectives

Qualifications

  • Graduate from University/College, Business, Engineering Degree or equivalent experience

  • 10 years F2F experience in Public Safety, Federal/ Municipal Government and Commercial markets with 5 of those years being at the Enterprise level

  • A University degree/technical background or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Have a valid drivers license and willing to travel within your geographic territory

  • Proven two-way radio technical knowledge and experience plus able to apply technology solutions to business needs

  • Proven success in radio communication sales; selling complex solutions in a Face to Face environment

  • Highly proficient PC skills and specific applications (word, excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Monday.com)

  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and customers

  • Ability to address & resolve roadblocks impacting the closing of a sale

  • Ability to engage resources within a matrix organization

  • Knowledge of Bell radio communication products and services

  • Ability to navigate politically within a client's organization

  • Ability to analyze and impact a client's business plan

  • Ability to influence change in a client's organization and create sales momentum

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends and the ability to capitalize upon them

  • Ability to integrate information technology services and solutions to develop new business opportunities for the client

  • Bilingual (English & French) with excellent verbal and written skills. Maintaining professional relationships with French & English-speaking stakeholders across Canada is critical to this position.

Additional Requirements

  • University Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering

  • Sales experience and prospecting for opportunities including Push to Talk (PTT), PTT Interoperability MBFR (Mobile Broadband for First Responders)

  • Two-way radio and/or Telecom sales experience

  • Technical breadth coupled with depth (typically acquired through a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience) Value added applications: Professional Services: Outsourcing, Network Management, Consulting, Systems Integration

  • Solution Selling training certificate

  • Technical solutions sales experience
