Mutual of Omaha Work-Life Program Consultant - Omaha, NE in OMAHA, Nebraska

Mutual of Omaha is hiring a Work-Life Program Consultant to provide personalized assistance and coaching for employees facing challenges in financial, legal, utilities, and family care. In this role, you'll develop tailored plans, connect individuals with internal and external resources, and build collaborative relationships with internal teams. Additionally, you'll contribute to the Employee Assistance Fund by assessing and providing consultative recommendations to the Board.

This is an Omaha based job, working in a hybrid environment - requiring work from the Home Office on a weekly basis while working remotely for the remainder.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $65,000-80,000, plus annual bonus opportunity

  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.

  • Regular associates receive 9 paid holidays in 2023.

  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 56 hours of personal time in 2023, prorated based on the start date.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Guides associates on non-clinical needs including financial wellness, legal matters, and childcare/elder care. Conducts financial assessments, providing support in budgeting and credit repair. Proactively develops plans to achieve individual financial goals."

  • Proactively assists associates in identifying work-life challenges, setting improvement goals, and accessing social resources. Stays current on corporate benefits and promotes their utilization to meet employee needs.

  • Promotes and implements best practice management of financial well-being, work-life support, and social services navigation. Cultivates and maintains credible business relationships, locally and nationally with broad business impact.

  • Collaborates with supervisors, managers, and HR to address employee work-life needs, ensuring compliance. Provides subject matter expertise, training on Work-Life Programs, and consults on resources for supervisors, managers, and HR staff.

  • Assesses, recognizes, and appropriately elevates urgent and emergent employee situations to Health Services, EAP, Human Resources leadership. and/or the Threat Assessment Team, as necessary.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's Degree in in social work (BSW) from a CSWE-accredited program & CMSW - Cert Masters Social Worker

  • 1-3 years demonstrated professional work experience in direct practice assessing social and financial needs, and providing financial services navigation, social services counseling, mental health, wellness, workshop design/training, and consulting

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and skilled in using on-line database for record keeping and data tracking.

  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with all levels of internal and external business partners.

  • Proficient in coaching effective communication and developing personalized strengths-based goal plans. Respects confidentiality, assesses individual and organizational needs, and adapts approaches accordingly.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) or Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) credentials.

  • MSW from a CSWE-accredited program

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
