The Hotel

The long-awaited Peregrine Hotel is a brand new hotel in the downtown market and flaunts a luxurious, sophisticated, historic yet playful design. We offer 89 modern and lavish guestrooms, meeting space, a retail shop, a main floor restaurant and a rooftop bar that has a gorgeous view of the whole city! This Curio by Hilton property is named and designed after the majestic peregrine falcons that escaped extinction and nest on the rooftop of the neighboring Woodmen Tower.

The Cook is responsible for maintaining, setting up, producing, and controlling quality of food items prepared for breakfast and lunch. This position assists the Chefs and other cooks by ensuring that food quality is timely and up to standard. Our starting pay is $14-$16/hr depending on experience.

  • Visually and physically inspects food items to ensure they are of the highest quality for consumption.

  • Utilizes a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables, trimming and cutting meat, poultry and fish for use.

  • Operates a variety of kitchen equipment i.e. choppers, mixing machines, slicers, steamers, grills, etc.

  • Controls food waste, loss and usage per hotel policies and procedures.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work both independently and with a team

  • Willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as needed.

  • This position requires the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • 1+ years of related experience preferred.
