Position Summary

Qualified candidates will be in Seattle, WA for this opportunity

The Meritain Sales Vice President in Seattle, WA will drive profitable membership growth in the self-funded market. Develops strategy, distribution, and collaboration with local market Aetna teams to target clients who prefer a TPA value proposition.

The Sales Executive is responsible for new sales growth for Meritain Health, an Aetna Company in their local market.

Meritain targets customers who prefer to self-fund their benefits plan using a customization third-party administrator model.

Lead all Meritain sales efforts to solve complex benefit challenges using customized self-funded solutions.

Works through the external broker community to promote and develop the Meritain brand in the local market.

Establish local market partnerships with Aetna sales teams and sales leaders to maximize the Aetna distribution channel. Identify products, services, and strategies that solve challenges for TPA clients. Assist with strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting process

Sales professional who help build our business in the Middle Market, distribution channel, group insurance and specialty products areas. Sales Executive goal is to meet customer needs and help them make better decisions and about their health care and health care spending.

Develops and cultivates strong relationships with key constituents (producers, plan sponsors and/or consumers depending on business) to maximize sales opportunities and achieve profitable growth.

Oversees a block of business or may develop new business opportunities to ensure profitable customers and help grow the business through consultative selling, issue resolution and superior service.

Ensures product, pricing and services meet client's needs while meeting Aetna revenue growth and profit objectives.

Manages and builds producer relations as needed depending on book of business or market segment being supported.

Identifies various ways to partner with the client by drawing from entire spectrum of product line illustrating a keen understanding of client's multifaceted needs and benefits of Aetna's full product array.

Collaborates with internal partners and/or external constituents to uncover profitable growth and cross-sell opportunities within new or existing customers

and to support post-sale activities.

Coordinates sales materials, testimonials and subject matter expert involvement in support of the successful delivery of constituent presentations. May participate in constituent meetings including finals presentations.

Develops/maintains and communicates expertise on products, industry and emerging marketplace trends.

We are only able to consider candidates with prior insurance (Health - self funded ideally) sales experience at this time.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of relevant healthcare sales experience.

Experience working with a TPA.

Applicable state license to sell products.

Reside in the Seattle, Washington market.

EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,500.00 - $158,300.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
