Garmin Senior Software Engineer in Olathe, Kansas

Garmin International seeks Senior Software Engineer (Olathe, KS; Multiple Positions): Provide technical leadership and project planning for software development for products, applications, or systems new to Garmin. Serve in a leadership capacity for carrying out software development in C, C++, C#, Java, Assembly language or other selected languages for new products and applications. Work on complex software development project designs and review architected modules and software systems supporting new technology or improving capability/performance of existing functionality. Decompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks. Research fundamental problems and implements algorithm solutions that are appropriate. Balance quality, quantity and complexity in work output. Mentors and/or supervises less experienced software engineers.\n\nRequirements: \n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Computer Technology, Software Engineering, or related field, plus 5 (five) years of progressive experience in the IT environment, and demonstrated experience in the following:\n\n\n\tsoftware development lifecycle such as python, c++, java, or javascript.\n\tqt/qml.\n\tsoftware architecture and software design methodology.\n\tsoftware delivery principles such as continuous integration/delivery (ci/cd) or test automation frameworks.\n\tsoftware engineering tools, including configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators and simulators.\n\n\nIn lieu of a Bachelor’s plus five years of progressive experience, will accept a Master’s degree in the same plus three years of experience in the IT environment.\n\nPlease go to careers.garmin.com and refer to Req #21002MQ\n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
